Sakan Vietnam Trip to Bangladesh – Our fruitful journey

As a representative of Sakan Vietnam, a pioneering company in the field of veterinary medicine and aquaculture, I had the privilege of participating in a business meeting between Vietnam and Bangladesh from October 23 to October 31, 2022. This meeting, held in Dhaka and the city of Chittagong, was organized by the Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Embassy of Vietnam in Bangladesh, and the Bangladesh Ministry of Commerce. Sakan Vietnam trip to Bangladesh was not just a business venture, but also a deep dive into the rich culture and warm hospitality of Bangladesh.

The Cultural Tapestry of Bangladesh

Bangladesh, a South Asian country, is a cultural tapestry woven with threads of diverse influences. The country’s history is steeped in the ancient Indus Valley Civilization, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Islam, creating a vibrant cultural landscape that is reflected in its architecture, music, dance, and festivals. The colorful rickshaws that dot the streets of Dhaka and Chittagong are a testament to the country’s artistic flair, while historical sites like the ancient city of Paharpur and the Somapura Mahavihara offer a glimpse into its rich past.

The Bangladeshi People: A Portrait of Warmth and Hospitality

The people of Bangladesh are the heart and soul of the country. Their warmth and hospitality were evident from the moment we set foot in Dhaka. Despite the language barrier, their genuine interest in our work and their eagerness to learn about our high-tech products were truly heartening. This warmth and friendliness extended to our business meetings as well, where we were treated with utmost respect and courtesy.

A Culinary Journey Through Bangladesh

Bangladesh’s culinary scene is as diverse and vibrant as its culture. The country’s cuisine is a gastronomic delight, with a wide variety of dishes that are rich in flavor and spices. From the delicious biryani and hilsa fish to the sweet roshogolla and mishti doi, every meal was a culinary adventure. The local tea, known as cha, served in clay cups, was a refreshing treat that I looked forward to every day.

Business Meetings and Networking in Dhaka and Chittagong

Our business meetings in Dhaka and Chittagong were more than just formal discussions. They were opportunities for cultural exchange and building strong relationships. The Bangladeshi business community welcomed us with open arms, treating us not just as business partners, but as friends and brothers. The networking events organized by the local business associations were highly professional and provided us with valuable opportunities to connect with potential partners. The highlight of our trip was a gala dinner hosted by our Bangladeshi counterparts. It was a night of camaraderie, filled with laughter, shared stories, and a mutual understanding that transcended business.
