AMPISEP: Targeted Antibiotic Solution for Diarrhea, Typhoid, and Pasteurellosis in Livestock and Poultry
In the high-pressure environment of modern animal farming, infections like diarrhea, typhoid fever, and Pasteurellosis can spread quickly—leading to reduced feed efficiency, poor growth, and increased mortality. For livestock and poultry producers, controlling these diseases rapidly and effectively is essential for maintaining animal welfare and optimizing farm profitability.
AMPISEP, developed by Sakan Vietnam, is a powerful, broad-spectrum antibiotic formula designed to combat a wide range of bacterial infections. With its combination of Ampicillin, Sulfamethoxazole, and Paracetamol, AMPISEP not only eliminates pathogens but also helps reduce fever and discomfort—allowing animals to recover faster and return to peak performance.
What is AMPISEP?
AMPISEP is a water-soluble antibiotic powder formulated for oral use via drinking water or feed. It combines three active ingredients that work synergistically to treat both gastrointestinal and respiratory infections:
Composition (Per 100 g):
-
Ampicillin: 5 g
-
Sulfamethoxazole: 20 g
-
Paracetamol: 10 g
-
Lactose and dextrose: q.s. to 100 g
This formulation delivers fast-acting, broad-spectrum antibacterial activity while providing symptom relief through fever reduction.
How AMPISEP Works
Ampicillin
A β-lactam antibiotic that disrupts bacterial cell wall synthesis, making it highly effective against a range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including E. coli, Salmonella, and Streptococcus.
Sulfamethoxazole
A sulfonamide-class antibiotic that interferes with folic acid synthesis, essential for bacterial growth. It is especially effective in treating gastrointestinal and respiratory infections in poultry and pigs.
Paracetamol (Acetaminophen)
A non-antibiotic that serves as an antipyretic and analgesic, reducing fever and inflammation, improving appetite, and accelerating recovery.
Together, these ingredients make AMPISEP a powerful, dual-action solution—eliminating infection while managing clinical symptoms like fever, lethargy, and poor feed intake.
Key Benefits of AMPISEP
1. Broad-Spectrum Action with Fast Results
The powerful combination of Ampicillin and Sulfamethoxazole ensures high effectiveness against both enteric and respiratory pathogens, delivering quick clinical improvement in sick animals.
Whether the cause is E. coli, Pasteurella, or Salmonella, AMPISEP works rapidly to reduce bacterial load and restore animal health.
2. Reduces Fever and Enhances Recovery
Fever can reduce feed intake, weaken the immune response, and slow healing. With Paracetamol included in the formulation, AMPISEP not only eliminates the root infection but also helps:
-
Lower body temperature
-
Reduce inflammation
-
Improve comfort
-
Stimulate appetite
This leads to faster weight gain, lower mortality, and better post-infection performance.
3. Easy to Administer
AMPISEP is water-soluble, allowing for mass medication through drinking water or measured dosing based on body weight. This ease of use is especially valuable during:
-
Disease outbreaks
-
High-stress periods (transportation, weaning)
-
Recovery phases
-
Preventive health programs
4. Suitable for Multiple Species
AMPISEP can be used across a range of livestock and poultry, including:
-
Poultry: Chickens, ducks, geese, quails, pigeons
-
Livestock: Pigs, calves, young goats (kids)
This flexibility makes it a smart choice for mixed farms and integrated production systems.
