FLORDOX MIX: Powerful Dual-Antibiotic Solution for Typhoid, Pneumonia, and Pasteurellosis in Livestock and Poultry
In modern livestock and poultry farming, infectious diseases are among the leading causes of economic losses, affecting animal health, growth, and overall farm performance. Respiratory and enteric infections, particularly typhoid, pneumonia, and Pasteurellosis, can spread rapidly, especially in intensive production systems. Timely and effective treatment is critical.
FLORDOX MIX by Sakan Vietnam is a scientifically formulated veterinary product that delivers broad-spectrum antibacterial power through the synergy of Florfenicol and Doxycycline. This highly effective combination is specifically designed to target severe bacterial infections in pigs, calves, goats, lambs, poultry, and waterfowl.
What is FLORDOX MIX?
FLORDOX MIX is a water-soluble powder formulated for oral administration via feed, combining two potent antibiotics:
Composition (Per 100 g):
-
Florfenicol: 5 g
-
Doxycycline hyclate: 5 g
-
Lactose and dextrose: q.s. to 100 g
This formulation ensures a high bioavailability, fast absorption, and extended action within the animal’s system. Its dual-antibiotic approach allows for superior bacterial coverage and increased treatment success.
How FLORDOX MIX Works
Florfenicol
A broad-spectrum amphenicol-class antibiotic, Florfenicol inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit. It is effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including Pasteurella multocida, Salmonella spp., and Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae.
Doxycycline hyclate
A tetracycline-class antibiotic, Doxycycline also disrupts protein synthesis but targets the 30S ribosomal subunit. It is well-known for its efficacy against respiratory and intestinal pathogens such as Mycoplasma spp., E. coli, CRD (Chronic Respiratory Disease), and ORT (Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale).
By combining both antibiotics, FLORDOX MIX offers enhanced antibacterial action, making it ideal for treating complex, multi-pathogen infections.
Key Benefits of FLORDOX MIX
1. Dual Antibiotic Power for Rapid Action
The combination of Florfenicol and Doxycycline provides comprehensive coverage against most respiratory and intestinal pathogens, ensuring fast and effective treatment. It works even where resistance to other antibiotics may exist.
2. Effective Against Secondary and Mixed Infections
Many bacterial outbreaks occur as secondary infections following viral diseases such as PRRS or PCV2 in pigs. FLORDOX MIX effectively combats these secondary invaders, supporting faster recovery and reducing the need for multiple treatments.
3. Reduces Mortality and Boosts Productivity
Untreated bacterial infections lead to high mortality and poor growth. FLORDOX MIX controls infection, helps animals regain appetite, and prevents complications, ultimately improving survival rates and boosting productivity.
4. Supports Young Animals in Critical Growth Stages
Young pigs, calves, and poultry are especially vulnerable to infections. Administering FLORDOX MIX during early signs of disease helps protect developing immune systems, reducing stress and promoting strong, uniform growth.
5. Easy Administration via Feed
FLORDOX MIX is formulated for mixing directly into feed—ideal for large-scale operations. This eliminates the need for injections or individual dosing, saving time and reducing animal stress during treatment.
