TRISULFA: Powerful Protection Against Blood Parasites, Coccidiosis, and Blackhead Disease
Parasites and bacterial infections pose a significant threat to modern poultry and livestock farming. From coccidiosis and blood protozoa to blackhead disease (histomoniasis) and joint inflammation, these conditions can cause major productivity losses, especially in commercial operations with high animal density.
That’s why producers across Asia trust TRISULFA—a fast-acting, dual-ingredient therapeutic developed by Sakan Vietnam to combat some of the most devastating parasitic and bacterial infections in poultry and livestock. Formulated with Sulfamonomethoxine and Trimethoprim, TRISULFA delivers reliable results where it matters most—on your farm.
What is TRISULFA?
TRISULFA is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial and antiprotozoal powder designed for oral administration via drinking water or feed. It combines two synergistic ingredients:
Composition (Per 100 g):
-
Sulfamonomethoxine: 80 g
-
Trimethoprim: 20 g
This combination offers potent bacteriostatic and antiprotozoal effects, making it ideal for both treatment and prevention of several major diseases affecting poultry, rabbits, and livestock.
How TRISULFA Works
🔴 Sulfamonomethoxine
A long-acting sulfonamide that inhibits folic acid synthesis in protozoa and bacteria. Effective against:
-
Coccidiosis (Eimeria spp.)
-
Histomoniasis (Histomonas meleagridis)
-
Bacterial enteritis
🔵 Trimethoprim
A dihydrofolate reductase inhibitor that enhances the action of Sulfamonomethoxine. It blocks a later step in folic acid synthesis, ensuring maximum antimicrobial efficacy. Together, these agents offer a powerful, synergistic effect against pathogens causing:
-
Necrotic enteritis
-
Septicemia
-
Respiratory and joint infections
Key Benefits of TRISULFA
✅ 1. Highly Effective Against Blood Parasites and Coccidiosis
TRISULFA is the product of choice for treating:
-
Blood protozoa infections (common in poultry)
-
Coccidiosis, especially bloody diarrhea and intestinal swelling
-
Blackhead disease (histomoniasis) causing liver and cecal damage
-
Yellow mucoid diarrhea, dark combs, and lethargy in chickens
✅ 2. Fast Action Against Joint Inflammation and Pneumonia
TRISULFA is also effective in controlling bacterial joint infections caused by:
-
Staphylococcus spp.
-
Streptococcus spp.
It helps reduce:
-
Joint swelling
-
Lameness
-
Fever and respiratory symptoms (pneumonia, acute bronchitis)
✅ 3. Supports Intestinal Health and Reduces Mortality
By eliminating pathogens that cause necrotic enteritis and bloody diarrhea, TRISULFA improves:
-
Feed efficiency
-
Nutrient absorption
-
Growth rate and weight gain
This results in healthier animals, lower mortality, and improved farm profitability.
✅ 4. Flexible Administration and Excellent Absorption
TRISULFA can be easily mixed into:
-
Drinking water
-
Milk or milk replacers
-
Feed
Its high solubility ensures rapid absorption into the bloodstream and fast onset of action.
Indications for Use
TRISULFA is indicated for the treatment and prevention of:
-
Coccidiosis: Bloody stools, swelling, listlessness
-
Blackhead disease: Cecal necrosis, dark combs, liver lesions
-
Necrotic enteritis: Yellow, sticky droppings, weight loss
-
Bacterial arthritis: Swollen joints, reluctance to walk
-
Pneumonia & bronchitis: Difficulty breathing, nasal discharge
